OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Annually, Grade 4-8 students participate in a ‘leirskole’ (Outdoor Education) week where students build their teamwork and cooperation skills while getting to know the local culture and traditions – all in the beautiful Norwegian outdoors. This type of experience continues because each year we see students benefit tremendously, making new friends, bonding with teachers, being active and learning to overcome challenges.

The leirskole week is a curricular week and, although not mandatory, all students are strongly encouraged to attend. Leirskole week maximises the academic, physical, social and emotional development of both the individual student and the group.
