SCHOOL TRANSPORT
ISS families and students can benefit from comfortable bus transportation provided by the school or parents can choose to drop them off directly by car. Depending on age, children bike, scooter, walk or take the public bus as well.
Bus Service Transportation
The ISS bus service is the most popular form of transport for our students (open to children in Kindergarten-Grade 12). More than 10 bus routes serve students living in the city and country across the greater Stavanger region.
Parents can contact our Main Office for maps, stops and routes closest to their home. SMS notifications are sent to parents in the event of major disruptions.
For an enjoyable and safe ride, students must always wear their seat belts, treat others with respect and follow all instructions.
Drop-off By Car
For safety purposes, we encourage parents to:
• Use the dedicated drop-off zone near the Primary School entrance.
• Park only in designated areas, such as the ample parking available near the gym entrance (cars should never be parked in the bus lane outside the main entrance).
• Be mindful of speed when driving in the school vicinity.
Public Transportation
Public bus transportation in Stavanger is safe and generally reliable. The bus stop located closest to ISS is ‘Ragbakken’ via #2 and #3 (Kolumbus).
